Terms of Use

These terms apply to Delvestead (“Delvestead”, “we”, “us”): the game in your browser, on your computer or phone, and the website and accounts at delvestead.com. By playing or creating an account, you agree to them.

The game

Delvestead is free to play. You may play it for your own enjoyment and share links to it. You may not resell, repackage or redistribute the game files, or present them as your own.

The game saves your progress on your device. We do our best to keep saves working across updates, but a game in active development can change: balance, items and rules may move between versions.

Your account

An account is optional. It lets you sign in from the game and keep your characters in the cloud, so they sync across devices. You sign in with your email and a password, or with Google. Keep your password secure: you are responsible for activity under your account. One account is for one person.

When you link a device, the game receives a token that keeps it signed in. You can sign any device out from your account page at any time.

Cloud saves

Cloud saves are a convenience, not a backup guarantee. When two devices change the same character, the game asks which copy to keep; we can’t recover a copy you chose to replace. Deleting your account deletes its cloud saves; the copies on your devices stay there.

Purchases

Today nothing in Delvestead is sold. If optional purchases (such as cosmetic skins) are added later, their prices and terms will be shown before you buy, and these terms will be updated first.

Acceptable use

Don’t attack, overload or reverse engineer the website or its API, use them to store anything other than game saves, create accounts in bulk, or try to access other people’s accounts. We may suspend accounts that do.

Changes and ending

We may change or stop parts of the game or the website. If we ever shut down cloud saves, we’ll give notice so you can keep playing from the copies on your devices. You can stop using Delvestead and delete your account whenever you like.

Liability

Delvestead is provided as is, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages or lost data, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months (today, zero).
